FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT CAUSES MOLD?

Short answer - mold spores + moisture + organic material

Mold is almost everywhere, outdoors and in.  It plays a vital role in mother nature. Mold spores are all around, floating in the air, and when they land and settle on damp/wet organic material, the spores can begin to reproduce, creating more spores.

IS MOLD BAD FOR ME?  AM I GOING TO GET SICK?

Everyone responds to mold differently.  We can't say whether you will or won't get sick.  The following individuals should take extra caution when dealing with mold. They are high risk.

  • Young Children

  •  Elderly

  •  Pregnant Women

  •  Immunocompromised Individuals

  •  Highly Allergic Individuals

If you feel sick, off, or different than expected and think it may be related to mold exposure, make an appointment to talk with your doctor.

DO I HAVE MOLD?

Short answer - We can't give you a definite answer without sending samples to a lab.

Mold has a few distinct characteristics: A fuzzy appearance, grows in a circular, vine, thread-like pattern.  It can be orange, green, brown, black, white, pink, and even purple.  Often is accompanied by a musty odor.  Sometimes dirt or dust can be mistaken for mold.

So, yes, we can tell you if something has similar mold characteristics, but we can't say for sure unless we take samples.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

Unfortunately, we can't give an estimate until we've done an inspection and can see the extent of the contamination.

WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
